Mount Nelson ex Katy Nowaitee
DOB: March 19th
Katy Nowaitee won 5 races at 3 and 4 years including a Newmarket Listed race over 9f and the Cambridgeshire over 9f. She was placed second twice in Listed races over 9f and 10f with a highest BHA rating of 104.
She has produced two stakes winners, Mister Impatience by Hernando (best RPR 104) and Tottie by Fantastic Light (best RPR 105). She has also produced a twice winner on the flat, Harry Tricker (best RPR 97), who also won 4 times jumping (best RPR 137). There are other offspring with RPRs of 81, 72, 65 and 29 (although the last is a 3 year old and looks like he has only had 3 handicapping runs so far!).
This Mount Nelson filly will take a bit of time but is very easy moving and athletic, although I do expect her to run at two. She has enough pedigree to breed from in the future without running, but with a win she would be worth more than the purchase price of 10,000gns.
Mount Nelson has covered a Komaite (the sire of Katie Nowaitee) mare once before and the resulting offspring went on to win 3 races.
There are 10 shares available for purchase at £1,050 each. This is a tenth of the cost after the guinea conversion. There is an inclusive fee of £2,600 as a one off payment for the year (or two 6 monthly payments of £1,300) or a monthly fee of £230 to cover her training and racing expenses.
The syndicate is set up with the intention to run for at least two years to give her a chance to mature and show her full potential.
Update: there are now only 7 shares left

Soft Drink was placed second first time out in France and won a conditions race. She was trained by Andre Fabre and was thought good enough to run in the French 1,000 Guineas where she was only beaten 6.25 lengths. She was not quite out of the top drawer but clearly Fabre had a high enough opinion of her.
Magician is a new sire in the UK by the Champion Gallileo and he won 4 races at 2 and 3 from a mile to a mile and a half. He won the Breeders’ Cup Turf and the Irish 2,000 Guineas. He was at stud in the USA to start and has produced a winner already.
This filly is very much an early two year old type and is with me to try to run early and sell on for a profit. She was unsold in the ring at 10,000gns and the owner has kept 50% of her. I have 50% of her to sell or keep for myself but am happy to share with members of Team Given. This is a project to “train to trade” rather than to “train to race” (and then ultimately trade). There is always a good market for precocious two year olds who show a bit of early form and we plan to aim her at this. She is not a long term project but is an opportunity to have fun and hopefully turn a profit.
Five 10% shares are available at £1,000 each with £230 a month to cover training and racing expenses.

Royal Obsession has produced 2 winners from 3 foals of racing age both at 2 years old, with the non-winner being placed at both 2 and 3 years. A sister to our filly by Bertolini, Just Emma, was placed in the Listed Woodcote Stakes run at Epson at the Derby meeting and achieved a highest rating of 84. The other winner, Harleys Rocket, achieved a rating of 69 and the other horse, Hollywood Dream, achieved a highest rating of 72 and is still running.
The sire, Hot Streak, is a first season sire and is a son of the prolific producer of good two year olds who are highly sort after, Iffraaj. Hot Streak won at 2 and 3, at 5 and 6 furlongs, winning the Temple Stakes Group 2 and finishing second in the 2year old Middle Park Group 1 amongst other notable performances. Iffraaj has produced other well known high class performers such as Ribchester (Lockinge Grp1), Rizeena (Coronation Stakes Grp1), Chriselliam (Fillies Mile Grp1), Wootton Bassett (French Grp1 and successful stallion), etc.
She is a compact two year old type who I fully expect to be an early runner.
Five 10% shares are available to purchase at £900 each. Her breeder has retained 50% of her and will run in partnership with Team Given. There is an inclusive fee of £2,600 as a one off payment for the year (or two 6 monthly payments of £1,300) or a monthly fee of £230 to cover her training and racing expenses.
Poets Voice ex Tia Mia – Photograph to Follow
DOB: April 18th
Tia Mia was a precocious two year old that we trained here. She won first time out at Ripon before finishing second in the Marygate, a fillies 2 year old Listed race at York in May. Her highest rating she achieved was 95.
Poets Voice is by Dubawi and won from 7f to a mile at 2 and 3. Amongst 4 wins he won the Queen Elizabeth II Group 1 at Ascot and the Champagne Stakes, a Group 2 for 2 year olds at Doncaster. He has gone on to sire multiple Group winners.
This filly did not go through the sales ring so has not had a sales preparation. As a result she is a little behind the other yearlings in the yard, although with the precociousness in both sides of the family, I expect her to catch up quickly and to be a two year old type.
5% shares are available for a free lease in her with an inclusive fee of £115 a month or £1300 for the year to cover her training and racing expenses.
