Suzanne Maclennan: Assistant/Secretary
Suzanne joined James Given Racing at the beginning of the 2004 season as her first job in racing, although she has been around horses since an early age. She brought with her five years experience of office management and now deals with all the racing administration. Suzanne is your first point of contact when telephoning or e-mailing the office. She also rides out four lots per day.

Chris Thompson: Head Lad
Chris is the head lad/yard manager at Mount House Yard. He joined James Given Racing in February 2000. Chris was previously employed at Limestone Stud based in the village of Willoughton. He naturally has considerable experience of handling young horses and is responsible for the breaking in of all of our yearlings.

Kevin Thompson: Head Lad
Kevin is the head lad/yard manager of the colts and geldings at Hemswell yard. He joined James Given Racing in April 2001 having previously worked for Owen Brennan and for Jim Leigh, who trained in Willoughton prior to our arrival in 1999. Kevin is our regular work rider and plays a prominent role in the breaking in of yearlings.

Andrew Lane: Assistant Head Lad
Andy is the assistant head lad/yard manager at Mount House yard. He joined James Given Racing in February 2000. Andy is one of our longest serving members of staff and was best associated with Hugs Dancer. He was his regular rider and was also responsible for him when racing.

Lynn Ward: Head Lass
Lynn is the head lass/yard manager of the fillies at Hemswell Yard. She joined James Given Racing in May 2002 having previously worked for Mark Johnston and Steve Kettlewell in Middleham. Lynn brings a wealth of all round experience to the job. She rides out, assists with the breaking of yearlings and is a regular representative of the yard on the racecourse.

Lyndsey Wood: Travelling Head Lass
Lyndsey is our travelling head lass. She joined James Given Racing in February 2003. Her role means that Lyndsey is responsible for all aspects of the job associated with taking horses racing and to the sales.
